Blackpink's Lisa Shines in Netflix’s ‘Hitmakers’ Finale – Rejects Two Tracks, Picks One Potential Hit

Netflix’s new global music reality show Hitmakers is turning heads—and not just because of the big names. Launched on July 24, 2025, the six-part series dives into the high-pressure world of songwriting camps, where 12 top music producers and songwriters from around the world are challenged to craft chart-worthy songs for international stars like John Legend, rising crossover artist Shaboozey, and K-pop icon Lisa from BLACKPINK.

But there was a twist.

While fans eagerly waited to see Lisa, she didn’t appear until the final episode, keeping her presence mysterious and highly anticipated. A day before the finale dropped, Netflix shared a teaser of Lisa via video message, instantly sending fans into a frenzy.

“I want something catchy and upbeat… I’m a performer, so I have to dance,” Lisa explained. “It’d be great if there’s a rap verse too. I love hip-hop.”

🔥 The Challenge: Create a Hit for Lisa

In Episode 6, contestants raced against time to develop the perfect Lisa-style track. After intense collaboration, three songs were created:

  • Back in Business

  • HOT

  • Eleven

Lisa listened to all three in their rough forms. She rejected ‘Back in Business’ and ‘HOT’, but found something special in ‘Eleven’.

While she felt the chorus could be stronger, Lisa praised its energy and vibe, hinting that she’s considering recording it officially if the hook gets polished.

🎤 A Must-Watch for Music & K-pop Fans

Whether you're a BLACKPINK fan, a music lover, or enjoy reality competition shows, Hitmakers brings a fresh and global perspective on how chart-toppers are made. Lisa’s brief appearance packs a punch—and could be the start of a new hit.

📺 All six episodes of Hitmakers are now streaming on Netflix.
