The film, which hit theatres last Friday, is a spiritual sequel to the 2018 romantic drama Dhadak, but tells a more raw, socially driven story.

According to box office tracking portal Sacnilk, Dhadak 2 earned:

Despite facing competition from several releases, Dhadak 2 has managed to draw attention due to its bold theme and strong performances.

Dhadak 2 is currently competing with:

  • Son of Sardaar 2 (Ajay Devgn)

  • Mahavatar Narsimha (Animated)

  • Saiyaara (Ahaan Panday & Aneet Padda)

  • Kingdom (Vijay Deverakonda)

Among these, Saiyaara remains the top performer, having entered its third week and collecting ₹8 crore on Sunday alone — taking its total domestic earnings past ₹300 crore.

Based on the critically acclaimed Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal, Dhadak 2 tells the story of a Dalit law student who falls in love with his classmate from an upper caste. The film explores caste-based discrimination and social conflict through the lens of a modern love story.
